Familiars are animals that are linked with caelestes in the way of soulmates (nonromantic). They are majikal regulators for caelestes with vast amounts of majik. Such large quantities are dangerous and diminish the physical body.

Emotions and thoughts are shared between familiar and their caeles. Pain is shared among them, but death does not kill the other.
