Rather than hair, gorgons heads are covered in snakes. Type and size vary between one gorgon and the next, though for one it would be the same. They can turn one to stone if they make eye contact. Most wear glasses made from extremely thin obsidian (known for being a majik suppressant) lenses.

Anti-venom from their snakes can be used to unpetrify a victim though it is not common knowlegde. It can not be the same breed of snakes, it has to come from the gorgon themselves.

Gorgons are known to run women's shelters all over the world and go to great lengths to protect them and their charges.
