My Rambles: Considering I'm just now reading it, as an adult, I think I would have liked it better as a teen. The clash of typical mythological creatures with the Christian mythology would have hit better then than now. I used to be part of the church and would have loved it but now as a pagan...I found myself annoyed. I have no reason to be, in my own writing I'm doing something similar, but something just hit me wrong I guess. Clare's style of writing her characters is definitely teen, the sentences bouncing the way high schoolers inevitably do when hyper. +*SPOILER ALERT *+ I almost didn't continue the series because of an incestuous ending. (They kissed then found out they were siblings) and I'm not about that. I had to ask the friend that suggested it if it was really going to be a thing or not. (thankfully no, they aren't actually siblings, just the bad guy being a dick) so now I've started book two
