Every Which Way But Dead

Updated: May 21

Times Read: 5+

Excerpt: "There's no witch in Cincinnati tougher, sexier, or more screwed up than bounty hunter Rachel Morgan, who's already put her love life and soul in dire jeopardy through her determined efforts to bring criminal night creatures to justice.

Between "runs," she has her hands full fending off the attentions of her blood-drinking partner, keeping a deadly secret from her backup, and resisting a hot new vamp suitor.

Rachel must also take a stand in the war that's raging in the city's underworld, since she helped put away its former vampire kingpin - and made a deal with a powerful demon to do so that could cost her an eternity of pain, torment, and degradation.

And now her dark "master" is coming to collect his due."

My Rambles: Honestly this one some how seemed less eventful than the first two. I still say fuck Nick..... I'll never not, I hate him so much. Rachel be a bit of a hoe though lol. (I mean that with love) Like I know the "relationship" had been pretty much over for months but she still went to Kisten way too fast in my opinion. And I hate how she jerks Ivy around. I know and Ivy knows they will never have a sexual relationship but hooking up with Kist, at the church, was just rude. I'm not saying she needed to hide it, its just with the scents, in their home just didn't seem right to me. I also think between the both of them, not just her, that they progressed really fast. Because I have read further and know things, it's fun seeing some of the foreshadowing I never noticed before.

David was way too quick to offer for her to be his partner (the first time) Like....Harrison uses the "good things just happen" writing technique a bit too much. Like why would Takata be as invested as he is? And why does Rachel never question that? Newt is fun, I don't recall much about her though, so I'm excited to keep going. As bad as it might sound I still like Al too, I think he's fun. I don't want to deminish Jenk's feelings but I think he overreacted and just needs to come back. I feel like this instalation is more of a "set up" novel rather than it's own story if that makes sense.
